Variant of the most famous rigatoni, tortiglioni are distinguished by the particular twist in a spiral. Their shape and their size makes this kind pasta di Gragnano ideal for retaining sauces, especially those with strong personalities, such as sausage, mushrooms and meat sauces.

The grain excellence, the drying process and the bronze wire drawing make this pasta an excellent product.

Tortiglioni with mushrooms and sausage

Ingredients for 4 people:

400 g of tortiglioni
15 g of dried mushrooms
3 sausages
200 grams of tomato sauce
½ carrot
1 onion
Olio extravergine di oliva delicato
Extra virgin olive oil delicate Gargiulo Syrrentum


Direction:

Put a saucepan with salted water in which to cook the tortiglioni. Meanwhile in a pan fry the onion, the finely chopped
carrot, the crumbled sausage and mushrooms, previously soften up in boiling water. Then add the pasta.

When tortiglioni are al dente, transfer the sauce to the pan and fry for a few minutes to blend better the flavors.
